The Practice Facilities
Birdwood Golf is equipped with outstanding options for players who are looking to improve their game at our golf course in Charlotteville VA. Our practice facilities are some of the best in the region and are open to the general public on a daily basis. Hone your skills on the following practice areas:
- An expansive driving range with 32 bermuda grass stalls, an artificial turf tee line, a variety of targets and an elevated fairway.
- One community green with a bunker and two resort guest and member-only practice greens.
Charlottesville golfers can also perfect their skills on Ridges putting course and The Nest par-3 course. Both are thoughtfully designed by Davis Love III and his Love Golf Design team.
- Ridges unique putting course has 18 holes and covers an expansive 31,000 square feet with a location just steps away from the clubhouse and back patio.
- The Nest par-3 course features six total holes ranging from 45 to 135 yards each.
- The Love Golf Design team designed the slopes of the putting course to mimic the ridgelines of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
- The combined two courses offer a unique golf experience and family fun alongside accessible golf in under an hour.
