Boar's Head Outfitters Summer Camp

June 10 - August 9, 2024

Guide your kids into a program that’s epic in nature. Our Boar’s Head Outfitters team has an exciting line-up of outdoor-driven activities that’ll keep kids off their screens and lead them into an array of outdoor activities suitable for all ages.   • Age Range: 7-9 (Outdoor Base Camp) 10-13 (Expedition Camp).
  • Fee: $430 for a full-day weekly rate and $258 for the half-day weekly rate. After care can be added for $15/day.

CAMP SCHEDULE

There's an exciting line--up of adventures for all ages during this year's Outfitters Camp including daily field games partnered with multiple additional activities. The itinerary is similar for all age groups, but pay extra attention to the "expedition-only programs" that are specifically catered to our older kids. Five July 8-12 House building and archery competition. Sugar Hollow trip
Six July 15-19 Falconry and rocket launch. Saunders-Monticello Trail hike.
Seven July 22-26 Water balloon olympics. Walnut Creek park frisbee golf/swimming.
Eight July 29-Aug. 2 Shelter building, fire building. Old Mills Trail hike.
Nine Aug. 5-9 Summer favorites. Tubing the Rivanna


MEET THE TEAM

Director
Matt Foster oversees summer camp and Boar’s Head Outfitter operations. He grew up in Bridgewater and studied Outdoor Leadership at Ferrum College. He joined Boar’s Head Outfitters in 2018.

Coordinator
Max Murphy joined Boars Head Outfitters in 2020 and now coordinates the day-to-day summer camp schedule and activities. He grew up right here in Charlottesville and studied Recreation Parks and Tourism at Radford University.
