Step into the Ballroom at Boar's Head Resort for a workshop dedicated to the beauty of flowers, where you'll discover the artful world of floral design. Guided by expert hands, you'll learn the compositional secrets and longevity tricks that transform fresh-cut stems into stunning arrangements before crafting your very own seasonal centerpiece featuring a soft pastel palette of beautiful blossoms, perfectly curated for Mother's Day.

Participants should bring their own secateurs/clippers. Aprons will be provided for use and can be purchased afterward.

  • Two Sessions: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 2 - 5 p.m. 
  • Location: The Ballroom at Boars’ Head Resort

After the first session and before the second, move the celebration into the sunlit Dining Room at Birdwood Mansion for a lavish brunch that’s every bit as lovely as your floral masterpiece. The brunch fee is not included with the workshop.

Tasha Tobin

Tasha Tobin is a nationally and internationally recognized floral designer and educator based in Charlottesville, Virginia. A lifetime-appointed Garden Club of America Floral Design Judge since 1998, she has received numerous prestigious awards exhibiting in flower shows throughout the United States and Canada, including a silver medal as one of only six Americans selected to demonstrate at the 2010 World Association of Flower Arrangers global show in Boston.

For over 35 years, Tasha has been a sought-after presenter and instructor across North America. Her work has been featured in publications including Flower Arranging The American Way, GCA by Design, and Fusion Flowers, and her notable installations include three Orchid Shows at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. She holds a BA in Art and Art History from Connecticut College and has studied Ikebana through the Ohara School.
