Executive Chef Dale Ford
Chef Dale Ford joined Boar’s Head Resort as Executive Chef in November 2016 after serving as Executive Chef of Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Georgia.
His culinary journey began at his family’s restaurants in both Florida and Indiana where he first developed a passion for food. After realizing his calling, Chef Ford enrolled in the hospitality management program at Florida State College in Jacksonville, Florida. Since then, he has worked in top kitchens such as The Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Omni Amelia Island Plantation in Amelia Island, TradeWinds Island Grand in St. Pete Beach, the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA, and most recently the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. In his time at these hotels he won several awards such as the Hot Food Culinary Gold Medal and the Rose Award from the N.F.H.L.A for service excellence.
Chef Ford has partnered throughout his career with the American Culinary Federation, in which he has been an active member for more than 20 years. He has held offices of Chapter President, Vice President, and has co-chaired a regional convention and the Chef and Child Program. Chef Ford has given back to his community through several charities such as the Ryan Wells Foundation, Athletes for Hearts, American Cancer Society and Katie Kaples Foundation in Amelia Island.
Outside of his work in the culinary industry and community, Chef Ford enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
