In many cases, yes. Guests do not always have to stay overnight to enjoy many of Boar's Head Resort's amenities. Visitors are welcome to dine at select restaurants, play golf, book spa treatments, and attend events. The Sports Club at Boar's Head resort is exclusively reserved for overnight hotel guests and members. 

Yes, Birdwood Mansion is a 7-room botique hotel that is owned and operated by Boar's Head Resort. The Mansion is located on the eastern side of the resort and sits directly adjacent to the 17th green of Birdwood Golf course.

The resort is a true oasis for k-9 companions and has multilple open spaces and miles of walking paths that are good for pets and their human counterparts. Not all rooms are pet-friendly and there are a limited number that can be booked online or by calling one of our warm-spirited reservation agents.

Boar's Head Resort offers several dining experiences, including fine dining, casual restaurants, bars and seasonal outdoor dining. Guests can enjoy locally inspired cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and beautiful mountain views.

The Mill Room is the resort's marquee dining establishment and offers fine dining experience with a glass backed bar and outdoor seating overlooking Heritage Lake. The grill at Birdwood Golf course offers a more casual atmosphere and Racquets Food & Drink in The Sports Club is a great grand-and-go spot for a quick bite or drink. 

Reservations are strongly reccomended for The Mill Room. 

Yes. Boar's Head Resort is home to Birdwood Golf Course, an award-winning championship course designed by Davis Love III that welcomes both resort guests and the public. Adjacent to the Championship course is The Nest par-3 course and an 18-hole putting green. 

Birdwood is the home course of the University of Virginia men's and women's golf teams. 

Yes. Birdwood golf serves as a private member-based golf course but is also open to the public and hotel guests. Guests can book a tee time by calling the Birdwood Golf Pro Shop: (434) 293-4653

Yes. The Boar's Head Sports Club features a nationally recognized racquet sports facilities with indoor and outdoor courts, professional instruction, clinics and leagues. There is also a world-class squash facility and outdoor padel courts. The entire racquet sports facility is exclusively reserved for members and hotel guests. 

The Sports Club at Boar's Head Resort is exclusively reserved for hotel guests and members. 

Yes. The resort has a full Aquatics Center at The Sports Club with a family pool, lap lanes, lazy river and slide. There is also an adult-only pool located directly adjacent to The Spa.

Yes. Boar's Head Resort offers indoor and outdoor wedding venues, reception spaces, catering, overnight accommodations and experienced event planning services. Birdwood Mansion on the grounds of Boar's Head Resort also serves as a luxury wedding venue.

The resort is also home to the University of Virginia's squash, golf and tennis teams, so all of the teams' home matches and games are at the resort.
