Cure your wintertime blues with a savory dose of "Blues, Brews and Barbecue" on the rolling landscape of Boar's Head Resort. This public tasting festival brings together over 20 local craft brewers and live blues music. The smokers will be running on overdrive all day long and feature some of Virginia's best barbecue from the Boar's Head food truck and Vision Barbecue of Charlottesville.

General Admission and VIP Tickets

General admission tickets will include a keepsake tasting cup. Upgrade to a VIP ticket and receive your tasting cup plus early admission, a logo pint glass, a complimentary barbecue sandwich and seating in the VIP-only area with seven exclusive beer tastings reserved for our VIP guests only. There will be food available for purchase for general admission ticket holders and VIP guests with a larger appetite. There is also a designated driver or under-21 ticket available for a reduced fee. Children under 3 are free.

This fest is fit for all ages! From face painting and balloon art to a plethora of lawn games, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family.

Playing Some Virginia Blues

Connoisseurs of blues music will enjoy the sounds from two of Virginia's finest blues bands:

Don't Look Up: On stage from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Ken Farmer and the Authenticators: On stage from 3 - 5 p.m.

Rain Date Information

The Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival will be held outside on The Green at Boar's Head Resort. The weather backup date for this event is Sunday, March 15. A decision on the rain date will be made on Thursday, March 12 and communicated to all ticket holders should a change of date occur. Tickets are non-refundable, including if the event is moved to the rain date.

Bunches of Beer!

It’s a craft enthusiast’s paradise! More than 20 craft beverage vendors will showcase their finest creations, from thoughtfully crafted beers and ciders to ready-to-drink cocktails and mead. Sip, sample and find your new favorites throughout the event.

Live Blues Music

For the first half of the event, guests can enjoy live music from Don't Look Up. Don't Look Up is an American Roots band specializing in the blues and are known for their eclectic, house-packing performances.

Ken Farmer and the Authenticators (pictured) will take the stage during the second half of the event. A live event with this band is a guaranteed good time. You can rock in your seat or dance the day away. If you feel good and want feel better, or if you need to chase away your blues, Ken Farmer & The Authenticators is the only prescription.

Smokin' Barbecue!

Dig into some of the best barbecue in the region! The Boar's Head food truck will be serving delicious eats alongside Charlottesville's very own Vision Barbecue. Grab a seat, listen to some live blues and pair your barbecue with a favorite local brew!

VIP ticket holders get one complimentary sandwich. General admission guests will have barbecue available for purchase.
