Due to a forecast of steady rain on Saturday, we're implementing our back-up date for this weekend's Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival. The event will now take place on Sunday, March 24, opposed to the originally scheduled Saturday, March 23.

Cure your wintertime blues with a savory dose of "Blues, Brews and Barbecue" on the rolling landscape of Boar's Head Resort. This public tasting festival brings together 25 local brewers and live blues music. The smokers will be running on overdrive all day long and feature some of Virginia's best barbecue from our Boar's Head culinary team and Vision Barbecue of Charlottesville.

Time: 1 – 5 p.m. (VIP entry from noon - 1 p.m.)

General Admission and VIP Tickets

General admission tickets will include a keepsake tasting cup. Upgrade to a VIP ticket and receive your tasting cup plus early admission, a logo pint glass, a complimentary barbecue sandwich and seating in the VIP-only area with five exclusive beer tastings reserved for our VIP guests only. There will be food available for purchase for general admission ticket holders and VIP guests with a larger appetite. There is also a designated driver or under-21 ticket available for a reduced fee. Children under 3 are free.

Playing Some Virginia Blues

Connoisseurs of blues music will enjoy the sounds from two of Virginia's finest blues bands:

Porch Dogs: On stage from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Ken Farmer and the Authenticators: On stage from 3 - 5 p.m.

Rain Date Information

The Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival will be held outside on The Green at Boar's Head Resort. The weather backup date for this event is Sunday, March 24, 2023. A decision on the rain date will be made on Thursday, March 21, and communicated to all ticket holders should a change of date occur. Tickets are non-refundable, including if the event is moved to the rain date.

Bunches of Beer!

Around 25 craft beverage makers will be showcasing upwards of 50 of their finest beers, spirits and ciders making this a true can’t-miss event for any craft beverage enthusiast.

Breweries include Athletic Brewing Co., Three Notch'd, 2 Silos, Basic City, Coyote Hole Cider, Alewerks, Beales, Waterbird, Stone, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Deschutes, Lagunitas, White Claw, Blue Toad Cider, Starr Hill, Brothers, Blue Mountain, South Street Brewery, Redbeard Brewing Co., Big Lick, 3 Roads, Virginia Beer Co. and Boston Beer Co.

Live Blues Music

For the first half of the event, guests can enjoy live music from Porch Dogs. Porch Dogs are a staple at Boar's Head and have entertained crowds all over Virginia with various types of music.

Ken Farmer and the Authenticators (pictured) will take the stage during the second half of the event. A live event with this band is a guaranteed good time. You can rock in your seat or dance the day away. If you feel good and want feel better, or if you need to chase away your blues, Ken Farmer & The Authenticators is the only prescription.

Smokin' Barbecue!

The South has no shortage of barbecue and our culinary team will have their smoker on overdrive while serving up some of the best barbecue in the region. We'll also be featuring Charlottesville's very own Vision Barbecue. Grab a seat, listen to some live blues and pair your barbecue with a favorite local brew!

VIP ticket holders get one complimentary sandwich. General admission guests will have barbecue available for purchase.
