Boar's Head boasts a nationally acclaimed tennis program. With top-of-the-line facilities, leagues, programs, and instruction for all levels, we welcome you to enjoy this great sport in a rewarding and fun atmosphere.
Our staff of USPTR and USPTA certified instructors are focused on providing you superior instruction that will help you enjoy the sport, stay healthy and win more on the court. Enjoy one of our clinics for adults, our after-school junior development program or our summer junior camps. In addition to clinics, private and group lessons are available and tailored to your specific needs.
Boar's Head is proud to be a top 25 ranked tennis resort in the World by Tennis Resorts Online. Since 2002, Boar's Head has been named a Top 50 U.S. Tennis Resort by Tennis Magazine. In addition to maintaining this Top 50 designation, in 2012, the resort was recognized by Tennis Magazine as the #1 Tennis Destination in the Mid-Atlantic region. With 26 courts, our facility stands out as one of the world's best. Ten Outdoor Har-Tru courts are carefully maintained for seasonal play and host some of the world's best women from the WTA tour each spring. Alongside our clay courts are an additional four outdoor DecoTurf hard courts for year-round play. Inside you will find an additional 12 DecoTurf hard courts, which adhere to the high standards of the ITA, ATP and NCAA, and serves as the host site of top tournaments. A six-court tennis stadium holds over 1,500 for viewing of tournaments and collegiate matches. All of this is complemented with locker rooms and the Sports Club Café.
Boar's Head Sports Club is home to the University of Virginia men's and women's tennis programs and all matches are free to attend, so feel free to stop in and on match day!
