The Jonathan Fried Charlottesville Pro Challenger at Boar's Head Resort benefiting Special Olympics Virginia will host top-level men's tennis talent at The Sports Club at Boar's Head Resort right here in Charlottesville.

Ticket Information

Admission is free for the Jonathan Fried Charlottesville Pro Challenger matches held Oct. 27 - Oct. 31, and tickets are not required. Tickets are required to be purchased for the matches to be played Nov. 1-3, which includes the singles quarterfinals leading to the finals and the doubles semifinals and finals. For these matches, a ticket is required for all guests three and older.

Event Donations & Sponsorship

Donations go directly to the Special Olympics and will help transform an athlete’s life. Donations help to fund equipment, training, and health screenings for athletes in need. Sponsorships for the Men's Challenger and Women's Open professional tournaments are available. Jonathan Fried

As a long-time fixture here at Boar’s Head Resort, Jon Fried has earned a legendary status in Special Olympics tennis world. Jon has been coached for years by Ron Manilla who is a PTR International Master Tennis Professional that has been instructing tennis here at the resort since 1995. To add to a long list of trophies and medals, Fried and his playing partner, Chris Raupp, recently brought home a gold medal while competing for Special Olympics Virginia in the top division of the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida.
